Independence Day of Ukraine is a holiday of pride and unity, when the heart of every Ukrainian is filled with love for his native land.
On August 24, 1991 the Verkhovna Rada of the Ukrainian SSR proclaimed the independence of Ukraine, which was finally confirmed by a referendum on December 1, 1991.
