Germany is increasing its economic and political influence.<\/em><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">In 2024, Georgia Maloney was recognized as the most powerful person in Europe by Politico, and this choice was not unexpected for Italians, who have witnessed the inevitable rise of the leader. Since her appointment at the end of 2022 as head of the Italian Council of Ministers, Georgia Meloni has continued to surprise and gain points in her quest to seize European leadership.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>Georgia Maloney<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/igp.org.ua\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/05\/meloni3.png\" data-rel=\"lightbox-gallery-EkjOKLOB\" data-rl_title=\"\" data-rl_caption=\"\" title=\"\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignright size-full wp-image-29344\" src=\"https:\/\/igp.org.ua\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/05\/meloni3.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"300\" height=\"300\" srcset=\"https:\/\/igp.org.ua\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/05\/meloni3.png 300w, https:\/\/igp.org.ua\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/05\/meloni3-45x45.png 45w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 300px) 100vw, 300px\" \/><\/a><\/strong>In Washington, she acted as a mediator between Trump and Europe. &#8220;Everybody loves her, everybody respects her, and I can&#8217;t say that about many people. She has become a friend,&#8221; Donald Trump said. No one in Europe has such a relationship with the American president now. She has taken on the political mission of mediating between the EU and the US, all with the approval of European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>Customs duties<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">In addition, during a meeting with US President Donald Trump in Washington and negotiations on the possibility of concluding a trade agreement between the EU and the US on duties, the Italian Prime Minister said: &#8220;My goal is to make the West great again.&#8221; Thus, she echoed Trump&#8217;s election slogan and automatically positioned herself as the best European partner of the American president.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>Germany.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><a href=\"https:\/\/igp.org.ua\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/05\/meloni4.png\" data-rel=\"lightbox-gallery-EkjOKLOB\" data-rl_title=\"\" data-rl_caption=\"\" title=\"\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-full wp-image-29345 alignleft\" src=\"https:\/\/igp.org.ua\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/05\/meloni4.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"300\" height=\"300\" srcset=\"https:\/\/igp.org.ua\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/05\/meloni4.png 300w, https:\/\/igp.org.ua\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/05\/meloni4-45x45.png 45w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 300px) 100vw, 300px\" \/><\/a>The arrival of a new German chancellor could pose a real threat to Georgia Maloney, whose goal is to become the leader of Europe. Europe will once again be able to count on Germany, according to the next chancellor, Friedrich Merz. On May 6, he is expected to be confirmed as German Chancellor by the partners of the new government coalition. The leader of the Christian Democrats (CDU) will need a simple majority in the lower house of parliament, where they have 28 seats together with the Social Democrats (SPD).<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>Europe.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">In the outgoing Bundestag, Friedrich Merz, together with the SPD and the Greens, paved the way for significant public spending on defense and infrastructure by organizing a review of Germany&#8217;s &#8220;debt brake.&#8221; The message to Europe is that Germany now has the firepower to take bold political steps and thus become a leading EU country.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The future chancellor wasted no time in making concrete statements. He realized that whoever took the initiative on the Ukrainian issue would naturally establish itself as a leading European country. The Prime Minister of Poland called on member states to take Donald Trump&#8217;s call to increase defense spending to 5% of GDP seriously.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">French President Emmanuel Macron is weakened by the disastrous dissolution of the National Assembly.
