In fact, this was both a reconnaissance attack aimed at testing NATO\u2019s defense shield and a psychological operation aimed at intimidating Westerners with the threat of military invasion.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">But here Putin and his fanatical Kremlin elders made a strategic mistake. They do not understand that such methods can only influence Russians who are used to living in slavery and totalitarianism. In democratic societies and among freedom-loving citizens, such acts of aggression usually provoke a backlash. It is worth mentioning here the story of the attack on Pearl Harbor by Japanese militarists during World War II. It is known that as a result of that attack, the Japanese achieved a temporary tactical success, but in the long run suffered a strategic defeat. The unprecedented attack on an American military base united all strata &nbsp;of the US population and gave the US government legal and moral grounds to enter the war and a virtually unlimited right to use all forces and means to achieve victory over the enemy.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Everyone knows how the attack on Pearl Harbor ended for Japan. But it is still unclear what Putin is counting on by resorting to petty provocations against NATO. That the world powers will react to his actions as petty hooliganism, paying little attention to them? But this can only work until it does not. &nbsp;Russia\u2019s war against Ukraine has already destroyed the entire current system of international security, led to global tectonic shifts in international politics and serious economic and environmental problems. And the economic interests of Russia\u2019s closest allies, Belarus and China, have also suffered from Russia\u2019s adventure against Poland. What\u2019s next?
