The Kremlin Propaganda in the World Is Annoying. But It Is Extremely Active<\/h1>\n

Studying and discussing the most pressing issues related to Ukraine\u2019s international role and Russia\u2019s constant resistance to this is one of the main issues dealt with by the well-known not only in Ukraine but also abroad Center for Russian Studies, headed by a well-known Ukrainian diplomat Volodymyr Ohryzko (Minister of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine in 2007-2009, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary).<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a>Among the traditional events that support such active work of the Center are roundtable meetings, which bring together Volodymyr Ohryzko\u2019s colleagues and invited well-known Ukrainian and foreign analysts and politicians. This time, the event was attended by experts who are well versed in the issues of Russian information and propaganda influence on Ukraine, Europe, and, ultimately, the entire civilized world.<\/p>\n

The discussion was not only about how and why the Russians are doing this. The participants spoke in detail about methods of countering such Russia\u2019s activities. Including our embassies, which are currently involved in a lot of work on this topic. We do have enough experience in this aspect, especially the older generation of Ukrainian diplomats. Some of the latter,  who attended the roundtable,  shared their experience during the discussion and supported their proposals with specific examples.<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a>For example, with regard to the main goal of the Russians \u2013 to disintegrate NATO and the EU \u2013 which can be seen today  with the naked eye, as the saying goes. This \u201cbusiness\u201d involves specific actors implementing the Kremlin\u2019s strategy. And their activities, to tell the truth, are tangible. They  seriously affect the media in many countries, including South America, not to mention European, Asia-Pacific, and Australia. However, Europe has already come to its senses and is trying to actively counteract Russia\u2019s proxies. This was also discussed in the speeches of the participants of the roundtable themed \u201cThe Kremlin\u2019s Fifth Column in Europe: Forms of Operation and Means of Counteraction\u201d.<\/p>\n

Traditionally, the event was held in the GDIP Media Center, so that everyone could connect to the discussion via ZOOM. And the speeches, which were lively discussed by the audience, can be found online.<\/p>\n
