It is worth noting that Europe lost its position in the international arena at that time and essentially became a protectorate of America.<\/p>\n

The Fourth World War, dubbed \u201chybrid\u201d, began in 2014 after Russia\u2019s invasion of Ukraine. Russia\u2019s large arsenal of nuclear weapons was the main reason why the UN did not respond to the obvious fact of armed aggression and violation of all conceivable norms of international law, which actually allowed Putin to carry out a full-scale invasion of Ukraine in 2022. This was also facilitated by the United States\u2019 de facto abandonment of global political leadership.<\/p>\n
Therefore, it can already be stated that World War IV has completely destroyed the current system of international security and law, and humanity has now entered an era of complete anarchy and lawlessness.<\/p>\n
Amid global uncertainty and chaos, Putin decided to implement his long-standing plans to conquer Ukraine and restore Russia\u2019s imperial status.<\/p>\n
In turn, Donald Trump, after being elected President of the United States, decided to return to a policy of isolationism and finally deprive the United States of its status as a global leader and international arbiter. The events of the last few days of the new year 2026 are a vivid confirmation of this.<\/p>\n
Despite the fact that US special operations forces carried out a brilliant operation in Venezuela, the political problem remains unresolved. Nicol\u00e1s Maduro has been removed from power, but the state institutions of that country continue to function as usual. Will the USA dare to launch a full-scale invasion? It is unlikely. Most likely, the bitter experience of Vietnam, Iraq, and Afghanistan, where America was unable to achieve its political goals by force and was ultimately forced to withdraw its troops from those countries, will be taken into account.<\/p>\n
Trump should also learn a lesson from Putin\u2019s invasion of Ukraine, which has been waging a difficult and bloody war for four years without success, depleting Russia\u2019s human, financial, and material resources.<\/p>\n
Trump\u2019s statements expressing his desire to seize Greenland are adding fuel to the fire of global political instability. This threatens the very existence of the North Atlantic bloc, where America is the leader, and destroys the entire current European security system. Under such circumstances, EU leaders are beginning to understand that Europe is no longer a protectorate of the USA, so must take care of its own security.<\/p>\n
The conclusion is that the fragile structure of the Yalta Armistice has been completely destroyed, and in order to end World War IV, humanity must seek new creative approaches and solutions and begin building a future system of international security and law based on the objective requirements of the time and on new legal principles and norms.<\/p>\n
