The agenda included topical issues, in particular, the role of Europe in the modern democratic world and the further political leadership of the United States of America as a result of the White House’s new approaches to fulfilling its previously undertaken leadership responsibilities. The participants also discussed the threats posed by Russia to the democratic world, ways to ensure Ukraine’s security during the Russian-Ukrainian war, Ukraine’s role in establishing a European security system, approaches to assessing the fighting in the East of Ukraine, the ideological basis of information wars, environmental issues, the role of international peacekeepers in preventing hostilities, etc.
Well-known experts, representatives of both Ukrainian communities and those peoples who are currently enslaved by Russia and seek to get out from under its rule, were invited to participate in the roundtable. The recorded content of the speeches of those present at the roundtable, as well as those who joined the conversation via broadcast, is offered for review in this collection. The participants’, which were made in several languages convenient for them, are presented in Ukrainian.

From Oleh Bereziuk’s opening speech
“…In the fourth year of the Russian-Ukrainian war, the United States of America, for whose help as of a global leader of the democratic world, we hoped, has now begun to abandon such leadership. Europe, in particular, is left to face challenges and threats from Russia on its own.
This situation requires urgent measures. What kind of measures? To answer this and other questions, we have proposed today to gather a wide audience, which includes representatives of the communities that have suffered and are suffering the most from Russia’s armed aggression…”
From Oleh Bereziuk’s closing speech
“…A new European defense alliance is needed in the current situation. We are ready to apply our knowledge and efforts to contribute to this…”.
