“A New Era of Nuclear Rivalry Is Dawning in the World”

President of the Institute for Global Politics Oleh Bereziuk recently answered questions from LVIV.MEDIA journalists.
The conversation focused on what a nuclear arsenal is, what its elements are, what criteria can be used to assess it, and how powerful it is in each of the nuclear powers, especially in Russia, etc.
Oleh Bereziuk emphasized that nuclear weapons are first of all weapons of deterrence. Russia is currently trying to intimidate Ukraine, the USA, and the entire West with its nuclear arsenal, seeking to create new nuclear technologies and developments and test its new weapons for use in the war against Ukraine. With its full-scale invasion of Ukraine, it has already provoked the start of a new nuclear arms race.
Therefore, according to Oleh Bereziuk, Russia has no right to exist in its current form, either legally or physically. What it has already done in Ukraine and around the world is considered a crime, and sooner or later it will have to answer for everything.
