Orbán’s Policy
Recently, Viktor Orbán has been subject to criticism not only in Europe and Ukraine, but also in the USA. Following another series of hostile statements by the current Hungarian Prime Minister regarding Ukraine, representative of the US Republican Party and North Carolina Senator Thom Tillis said: “It is sad that Orbán clearly prefers to be a puppet to Putin instead of a friend to NATO. That’s something the people of Hungary should consider as they head to the polls this spring.”.
Thom Tillis is known to be a prominent member of the US Republican Party who consistently supports Ukraine in its just war with Russia and calls Putin a “cancerous tumor”.
After four years of armed confrontation between Russia and Ukraine, it has become clear to everyone that this is not just an interstate conflict, but a global war between two civilizations, where the forces of good and evil have clashed in a deadly duel, where free people are fighting dictators and their slaves and puppets. Therefore, now is the moment of truth, when it becomes clear who is fighting for what and on whose side. As for the current Hungarian government, it is quite obvious that, at least today, it is not on the side of good, peace in Europe, and justice.
Recently, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Hungary Szijjártó, who consistently implements Orbán’s policy on the international arena, categorically stated: “As long as we are in power, Ukraine will definitely not become a member of the European Union, because Ukrainians will bring war to the EU and drag us into their war”.
The position of this Orbán’s politician is clear. Here, he de facto openly declares that the current Hungarian government is on the side of the forces of evil against Ukraine, which, incidentally, did not start the war in the center of Europe and therefore bears no responsibility for its negative consequences, including for Hungary.
It is obvious that the current policy of Orbán, who openly sides with Russia, contradicts the interests of the EU, as it leads to its weakening in the field of defense and security. That is why Thom Tillis, an influential member of the US Republican Party who stands for preserving the unity of the West, is calling on Hungarians to make the right choice when they go to the polls on April 12 this year.
Recent opinion polls show that the main battle in the current parliamentary elections in Hungary will be between two parties: Viktor Orbán’s openly pro-Russian Fidesz and Péter Magyar’s pro-European TISZ.
