For the Fourth Year, Ukraine has been Fighting a Brutal and Bloody War Against Russian Invaders

It is difficult to say when and how it will end, but it will definitely not be with a Russian victory.

Putin has set himself the goal of returning to the past and restoring Russia’s imperial status, but he has forgotten that his desires may not always coincide with his capabilities.

First and foremost, it is worth noting that Ukrainians do not want to return to colonial Russian slavery and are therefore waging this bloody, exhausting, and uncompromising war of national liberation against the Russian aggressor.

Europe is also not interested in the revival of the Russian Empire, as it poses a direct threat to its security. That is why the leaders of the leading European countries will continue to support Ukraine in its struggle against the Russian occupiers. Although, by and large, the EU could have made much more effort to curb the aggressor, which would have made it possible to end this war more quickly and restore Europe’s status as an influential political player on the international stage. This is particularly relevant against the backdrop of the US’s voluntary renunciation of global political leadership and, with the election of Donald Trump as US president, the country’s return to a policy of isolationism.

In such circumstances, the EU must stop relying on the US and, in alliance with Ukraine, build its own international security system that will quickly pacify the Russians, these aggressive descendants of the Golden Horde and the Moscow kingdom, and establish a just and lasting peace in Europe and all adjacent regions.
