Today, Putin Is Truly Afraid Only of Trump
Today’s Russia cannot compete with the United States in anything. The USSR once lost to the United States in the Cold War, after which it fell apart and lost its status as a global power forever.
Today’s RF, under Putin’s leadership, has been trying for many years to enter the bosom of the world’s leading countries, but Russia’s aggressive foreign policy has put it on a par with dictatorial regimes such as North Korea and Iran.
The RF cannot boast of its armed forces either. For three and a half years, Putin has been at war with Ukraine, which is much smaller than Russia, and has not had any success on this front. While earlier the vast majority of experts predicted Ukraine’s defeat in three days, today, three and a half years later, it has become clear that the Russians cannot win this war, and that is why US President Donald Trump has already begun to mockingly refer to Russian President Vladimir Putin as a “paper tiger”.
Trump went further and began to openly scare Putin with the prospect of arming Ukraine with long-range Tomahawk missiles. It seems that Donald Trump has decided to play cat and mouse with Putin. It is obvious that the US President is well aware of Russia’s current situation, in particular that it no longer threatens America in any way, and that is why he can afford such behavior. Today, Putin is well entangled in Ukraine and Trump is keeping him on the hook. The US President can end this game at any time, and he will do so when he thinks the time has come and it is personally beneficial to him. As for Trump’s public statements, it is not always worth taking his words at face value. Politicians, like diplomats, often say things they don’t mean and do things they don’t mean. However, their words should by no means be ignored, as they can always reveal certain trends and make predictions about future behavior.
During Donald Trump’s first term as President of the United States, Putin had already had the temerity to ignore his warnings about the possibility of a missile strike on the positions of the Russian Wagnerites in the Middle East. It is known that immediately after Putin’s cynical response, “They are not there”, American troops wiped out a Russian military base in Syria.
What was Putin’s reaction to that event?
Publicly – there was no reaction at all. Because what could Russia oppose to America? How could Russian President Vladimir Putin respond to US President Donald Trump, the leader of the most powerful country in the world? Obviously, he could do nothing. Today, both Putin and his entire Russia are in an even worse situation. The war in Ukraine is lost. Trump no longer considers Putin to be an equal leader of a great power and mockingly calls him a “paper tiger”. In the near future, this story will receive a final denouement. Despite his obvious miscalculations and lack of success on the battlefield, the Russian president continues to bluff and “pull the tiger’s whiskers”. It seems that Putin lacks adrenaline and in his old age has decided to play “Russian roulette” and put at stake not only his own life and fate, but also the future of the country he leads and its people.
