The roundtable themed “New Contours of European Security” was held at Ukrinform at the initiative of the Institute for Global Politics. The agenda included topical issues, in particular, the role of Europe in the modern democratic world and the further political leadership of the United States of America as a result of the White House’s new approaches to fulfilling its previously undertaken leadership responsibilities. The participants also discussed the threats posed by Russia to the democratic world, ways to ensure Ukraine’s security during the Russian-Ukrainian war, Ukraine’s role in establishing a European security system, approaches to assessing the fighting in the East of Ukraine, the ideological basis of information wars, environmental issues, the role of international peacekeepers in preventing hostilities, etc.
