An international roundtable discussion entitled “Challenges of Cross-Border Cooperation and Ways to Address Them” was held today in Uzhhorod
The event was organized by the Institute for Global Politics, the Society of Slovak Intellectuals of Transcarpathia, and the Congress of Local Self-Government of Ukraine.
On the Ukrainian side, representatives of state and local government bodies, as well as prominent scientific and cultural centers in Uzhhorod, participated in the event. The foreign side was represented by staff from diplomatic missions, cultural organizations, and media outlets from Slovakia, Hungary, and Poland. During the discussion of the topic, participants of the roundtable raised important issues related to the economy, ecology, religion, culture, law, and international relations.
The discussion took place at a high professional and scientific-practical level. This event will be followed by the creation of working groups that will draft regulatory and legal acts to remove obstacles to Ukraine’s European integration into EU structures.
The resolution of the roundtable, containing relevant recommendations for state and local government bodies, will be sent to the President of Ukraine, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine, the Verkhovna Rada, and the diplomatic missions of foreign countries.
